Geoportal of the Dniester River Basin

Spatial Data Layers

The database covers the spatial data for the whole basin of the Dniester, which spans the territories of Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova (and a small strip of Poland). Both small-scale data and data from national sources were collected. This allows basin-wide watershed management, analysis and assessment reporting.

After a series of negotiations it was agreed by the two countries to create the Pilot GIS system based on 33 geo-information layers. They are presented in the table.
